Who we are
Through any challenge
Over 1.4 million Lions across the globe are stepping up to serve their communities during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. These new challenges have changed the way we live, but our dedication to helping those in need is as strong as it was when Lions first opened their doors more than 100 years ago.
Tacking Point Lions Club is a part of the larger Lions Australia and Lions International organisations. The club is made up of ordinary people doing extraordinary things - supporting people with a disability, community greening, fundraising for worthwhile causes, just to name a few. We care about our environment. The earth sustains human life. We’ve seen how our stewardship of natural resources can improve quality of life and increase engagement in our local communities. Our environment is more than a background: it’s our home. And we’re committed to caring for it.
As a member of Tacking Point Lions Club, you will find that there is a variety of Club projects that enable all members to be involved and to contribute only as much time as they have available. You will experience some personal benefits including leadership skills, a sense of self-worth and purpose, business skills, networking opportunities and lifelong friendships.
If you are new to the Port Macquarie then, volunteering is a great way of contributing to your local community and giving something back, as well as learning more about it. Tacking Point Lions Club may be just the answer for you. To learn more about our club, please go to "ABOUT-US."
Changing the World One Community at a Time
Lions are changing the world one community at a time, by addressing needs at home and around the globe. We are 1.4 million men and women who believe that kindness matters. And when we work together, we can achieve bigger goals.
In addition to serving locally, Lions and Leos support five global service areas: vision, hunger, the environment, childhood cancer and diabetes.
